Helping Raise Humanity is looking for a caring, dependable, and growth-minded individual to join our early education program as a Lead Educator and Substitute.

We create a loving and educationally engaging environment where children are supported as capable learners. Our educators guide children through play, exploration, and individualized challenges while helping them learn respectful and safe choices through natural consequences, problem-solving, and taking ownership of their actions.

Position Details

• Position: Lead Educator & Substitute

• Pay: $16/hour

• Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–6:00 PM

• Employment: Consistent afternoon hours with substitute opportunities

• Training: DESE-approved MOPID courses provided

Responsibilities

• Supervise children indoors and outdoors, maintaining a safe and engaging environment.

• Lead developmentally appropriate activities and support children's individual learning experiences.

• Guide children through play, exploration, and problem-solving.

• Serve afternoon/evening snacks and prepare food for future meals.

• Support end-of-day child checkout and communication with families.

• Tidy and mop the classroom while maintaining a clean learning environment.

• Reset the classroom for the following morning, including laundry and occasional deep cleaning.

• Step in as a substitute when additional coverage is needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

• Patient, nurturing, and passionate about child development.

• Reliable, responsible, and comfortable working independently.

• Willing to learn and grow as an early childhood educator.

• Interested in building their early education portfolio through hands-on experience.

• Excited to work in an environment designed to support little learners as they grow.

Previous childcare experience, early childhood education coursework, and CPR/First Aid certification are welcomed. A willingness to complete required training is important.

Requirements

• Successful background check.

• State fingerprint clearance.

• Missouri Professional Development Identification (MOPID).

• Completion of applicable training requirements.
