Snacks are provided as a learning experience, incorporated into the Living-the-Curriculum program. L.T.C. is an in-depth study of the manipulatives and skills of every day living with a discussion of the purpose, science, math and routines involved to engage students in learning through daily practices. This means, students will get to join me in the kitchen to explore their foods with all five senses and be hands-on in the preparation of their foods. This is like a cooking class with skill-based tools appropriate for each child. Being a part of the cooking/prep process can promote more interest in trying new foods, and is a wonderful opportunity for extra math and science experiences. Feel free to ask for examples of snacks and lessons. All snacks include at least two food groups, served family-style to promote the exploration of all foods. Full day parents are asked to pack and send a lunch Monday-Thursday, and a picnic style lunch will be provided every Friday during our weekly water-play day.

Once you've been contacted to enroll you will have the opportunity to fill out all required enrollment paperwork online through our Wonderschool website, and download the app to have access to the daily live feed of activities for your child. Families are asked to pay each week, in advance, to reserve their child's placement. Discounts do apply for families who are returning and who have siblings attending.

Sensory Hour (4pm-5pm) is another option for parents who wish to indulge their children in an in-depth S.T.E.A.M. study at the end of each day. This extra messy hour of experiences will include additional materials as well as manipulatives to occasionally bring home. Students will get hands-on exploration opportunities that incorporate science, technology, engineering, art and math to foster questioning minds, logical reasoning and collaboration skills. Children enrolled in full day care are welcome to stay for sensory hour for just $5, while all children 6 and under are welcome to join us. Parents can sign their child up in advance for $8 per day Monday-Thursday.
